Wind Books newsFall 2006 Contributor Diane Peavey (WOVEN: “Coming Home” and CWC: “Watch Where You Step”) has revised and expanded her essay "Watch Where You Step," originally published in Crazy Woman Creek, for a new collection. Home Land: Writings on a West That Works is edited by Laura Pritchett, Rick Knight and Jeff Lee; Teresa Jordan provided the new collection's introduction. The book will be published in January 2007 through a partnership by The Rocky Mountain Land Library and Johnson Books. Other Windbooks contributors whose work will appear in Home Land include Page Lambert (LITW: “Redy’s Foal,” WOVEN: “Backbeat,” and CWC: “One Word at a Time”) and Julene Bair (LITW: “A Guy Could” and WOVEN: “At Forty-five”). Other well-known Western writers in the collection include Rick Bass, Paul Zarzyski, Kim Stafford, Wallace McRae, James Galvin and Drum Hadley. Winter 2005/ "Wyoming Library Roundup" magazine published a nice story about the Wind Anthologies in their winter 2006 issue. A copy was sent to anthology contributors.
