Thanks! back to top Crazy Woman Creek Discussion Mondays July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st, 2006 4:00 - 5:00 pm South Dakota State Agricultural Heritage Museum Brookings, South Dakota Ruth Harper (Crazy Woman Creek: "Vagina Dialogues on the Road Trip") and Ruby Wilson (Woven On the Wind: "Mother Love" and Crazy Woman Creek: "Room For a Small House") will co-host the opening day discussion of Crazy Woman Creek on July 10th. The remaining discussions will be lead by Mary Haug (Crazy Woman Creek: "Tapestry Woven of Stories"). Entitled "Community and a Sense of Place," the reading program includes discussion of the books Crazy Women Creek: Women Rewrite the American West, Edited by Linda M. Hasselstrom, Gaydell Collier & Nancy Curtis, and Completing the Circle Edited by Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve. An often-discussed topic is the growth and demise of communities in South Dakota. This series of discussions, sponsored by the South Dakota Humanities Council "One Book South Dakota -- Packaged Reading Program," will allow participants to examine what community means to them. Located on the campus of South Dakota State University at the corner of Medary Avenue and 11th Street, the South Dakota State Agricultural Heritage Museum is open and free to the public 10 am to 5 pm Monday thru Saturday, and 1 pm to 5 pm Sunday.
